Fairmount Center for the Arts Announces New Arts Preschool
Fairmount Center for the Arts will be expanding its popular preschool offerings with a new Creative Arts Preschool program at its main campus in Novelty. Held three mornings a week, children ages three to five will explore the arts while building important developmental skills in literacy, creativity and critical thinking.
“Preschool is a magical time for wonder and exploration,” said Elizabeth Bolander, Executive Director. “We are excited to build upon our established preschool camp and class offerings to create this new experience for families.”
The Fairmount Center for the Arts Creative Arts Preschool’s curriculum is rooted in Ohio’s early learning and development standards and focused on a whole-child approach. Each class will feature visual art and creative movement components alongside literacy development. The 7-week sessions will focus on different themes, beginning in January 2025 with Colors & Critters followed by Shapes & Patterns in spring 2025.
Interested families are invited to a Creative Arts Preschool Open House on Wednesday, November 20 from 10 a.m. to noon to meet the instructors, tour the space and enjoy arts activities. Families are encouraged to RSVP in advance.
Registration for the Creative Arts Preschool and all winter/spring 2025 session classes are now open and can be completed at fairmountcenter.org or by calling (440) 338-3171.
